Meet Recap and Ribbiting Highlights - 06/28/2025 DCST at Lake Ridge

Hello again from your friendly Froggy Computer 🐸💦!

You know what they say, better late than never, here is your weekly meet recap from Saturday’s away meet vs the Lake Ridge Lancers. Even though it was an away meet, it’s proximity to the Frog Pond was super convenient. With that, the overcast weather, and the onsite pupusa factory, it was a great meet, even if they didn’t serve cheeseburgers. We knew going in that the Lancers were a much larger team than the Frogs, so scoring would be an uphill battle, and ultimately the Lancers handed us our first loss of the season. Final score was Lake Ridge Lancers to Dale City Frogs . Please see attached meet results document for your use 🐸💚😎.

Meet commitments were holding steady around 7% this week. Surprisingly, we still have about 15 swimmers each week that fail to commit to the meets at all, which can cause additional work on deck if they intend to swim. For those that are consistently declaring your swimmers, communicating when things change, and encouraging swimmers to race, THANK YOU! 💚💚

As the season progresses, large time improvements are harder to achieve. But our Frogs are doing amazing clocking 47% of our swims resulting in personal bests. Keep telling your swimmers to do their hopping best 🏊💦!!!

Our DQ’s stayed consistent this we as well, hovering at 12%. were up this week, but that is normal as the coaches start putting our swimmers into events that they have never swam before. Overall, 12% of our swims resulted in DQ’s. If your swimmer disqualified, please see the coaches during the week at practice to review what they can improve. ☀️☀️☀️

Here are some ribbit-worthy highlights from the meet:
