Meet Recap and Ribbiting Highlights - 07/19/2025 DCST at Montclair

Good Evening Frog Families 🐸💦!

As promised, here is your recap of the meet from this past week. What a toad-ally awesome performance by the Dale City Frogs at the Montclair Seahawks meet on July 19, 2025! Our swimmers were simply un-frog-gettable, with many achieving personal bests and placing at the top of their heats. It's clear our swimmers are making a huge splash this season, and we couldn't be prouder.

You probably could tell just by being on deck, but the Seahawks are a significantly larger team than the Frogs, entering 180 swimmers in Saturday’s event compared to the Frogs 105. These lopsided numbers made the event outcome somewhat inevitable but allowed our Frogs to swim against themselves to improve! The final score was Montclair Seahawks 3095 to DCST 2026🐸💚😎!!!! Please see attached meet results document for your use.

As for our standard statistics, we came in at a 7% no swim rate, which isn’t as good as prior weeks, but still very respectable. Our DQ’s were at 12%, but again, swimmers swimming new events will do that. I was really pleased to see so many of our newest Frogs eager to try out new strokes, hip hop ya’ll!! 💚💚

Time improvements, just wow!! Last meet of the regular season and the Frogs clocked a 51% time improvement rate. Toad-ally FROG-TASTIC!! It’s obvious that our swimmers are doing their hopping best 🏊💦!!!

Overall the Seahawks are a pretty organized team, the officials kept us on our timeline and our volunteers helped the meet go smoothly. Thank you to everyone for their contributions!! 👏👏

Next week is our divisional tri-meet against the Virginia Oaks Sea Devils and the Stonewall (can’t remember the rest) teams. This is a redo from last year that was both super close and contested. And there is a chance some records could be broken!!! So PLEASE have your swimmers bring their ribbiting best to the competition. Let’s jump on this opportunity to show our best!

Here are some ribbit-worthy highlights from the meet:
